sits, and what it's like to live there.
Summit West is one of the farthest west Neighborhood Districts in Bend, in Northwest Bend. Leaving downtown Bend, the land climbs up through NW Crossing and levels out onto a bluff, and from that bluff much of Summit West has open Cascade mountain views. Certain neighborhoods have especially strong Cascade peak views.
The district has quick access to Mt. Bachelor and bikeable access to Phil's Trail and the surrounding mountain bike trail network, plus access to Shevlin Park along its northwest edge.
Summit West is primarily a newer district. The majority of homes here have been built within the last 25 years, mostly by custom home builders, with Valhalla Heights standing out as one of the district's older neighborhoods.
