Patti and Joe relocated from Atlanta, Georgia to Bend, Oregon for an active retirement. They met me at a Discovery West open house, and two months later they closed on a home in NW Bend that had originally seemed priced out of reach.

That's the short version. Here's how it actually happened.

"My husband and I met her when we randomly went into one of her Open Houses."Patti, Google Review

Like a lot of people moving to Bend, Patti and Joe weren't relocating for a job. They were relocating for a life. Trails out the door, mountains twenty minutes away, and a community where retirement means doing more, not less. Coming from Atlanta, they were also learning a completely new market. Which neighborhoods in NW Bend fit that lifestyle, what things actually cost here, and where the value really is. That first conversation at the open house was exactly that: what was happening in the different areas, and where a home like the one they pictured could realistically be found.

The home they fell for was in Discovery West, Bend's newest westside neighborhood. A Scandinavian-inspired Trove Townhome from COBA award-winning builders Structure Development NW and Curtis Homes. Four bedrooms, 3,127 square feet, a guest suite on the main level for visiting family, and walkable to the trails. Built for exactly the kind of carefree, active living they moved here for. There was one problem.

"Our beautiful home in Discovery West originally seemed priced out-of-reach."Patti, Google Review

This is where a lot of agents either push clients past their comfort zone or give up and move them down the list. I did neither. I kept working. Patti later told me she didn't think it was possible, and that watching it come together was fascinating.

"She never gave-up, nor did she push us to go out of our comfort zone to purchase the home."Patti, Google Review

Two months after we met at that open house, Patti and Joe closed on 1172 NW Skyline Ranch Road. The home that seemed out of reach became the home their retirement happens in, on terms they were comfortable with. Patti found the words for it better than I ever could. She said I had a gift for pushing without being pushy.

That's the whole job, especially with clients relocating from across the country. You can't pressure someone into a move this big. You can only know the market well enough to make the right home possible.

In Patti's Words

"There are a lot of good real estate agents in the market, but Tiffany stands-out as truly the best. My husband and I met her when we randomly went into one of her Open Houses... Two months later, we closed on our beautiful home in Discovery West that originally seemed priced out-of-reach... Her expertise in the market and what is happening in the different areas is in-depth and accurate... I told her she had a unique gift of pushing without being pushy. It was fascinating to be a part of, and watch her succeed when I didn't think it was possible. She never gave-up, nor did she push us to go out of our comfort zone to purchase the home."

Is Discovery West a good neighborhood for an active retirement?

For many buyers, yes. Discovery West is a newer westside Bend neighborhood built around trail access, with the future Discovery Corner Plaza planned as a hub of storefronts and gathering spaces. The Trove Townhomes were designed specifically for low-maintenance, active living, with HOA-covered landscaping and snow removal. It's one of the neighborhoods I'm asked about most by people relocating to Bend for retirement, alongside NW Crossing and Summit West.

New construction also rewards buyers whose agent actually knows the builders. I walk these homes constantly, I attend every inspection personally, and my construction eye has caught issues in this neighborhood that other agents missed. Another Discovery West client put it simply: my knowledge of inspections, construction, and specific Discovery West builders was critically important.

  • Top 1% NW Bend, Top 3% Bend Oregon (2025 COARMLMS), Top 10 Summit West, Top 5 NW Crossing.
  • 100% of my represented buyers paid below asking, with average savings of $17,875.
  • Home warranty included on every purchase.
  • I attend every inspection personally. On every transaction, no exceptions.
